Gartner and others trashing Windows and Microsoft incessently. Phile Hester quits AMD. FCC fining big boxes stores for selling analog TV’s without warning the consumer that the sets will not work in the future. Blockbuster working to change business model. I discuss the latest bogus announcemnt from IBM. Supposedly it has something better than flash memory. New Lithium-Ion formulation around the corner. The key: not explosive. I discuss the Microsoft-Yahoo deal in Marketwatch.

I can’t believe electronics stores are knowingly selling soon to be obsolete gear. There may not explicitly be a law against it, but there surely must be some consumer protection regulations somewhere covering this kind of deliberate rip-off.

Do not expect the legal system to protect the consumer. Always play defense. Position yourself by being informed.
