A while back, an associate of mine asked me to install a copy of Ad-Aware 2008 Pro into his system. After installing it, I was awed with their “ease of use” GUI. Then I ran a test on the following features: Priority Threat Updates; Detailed Scan Reports (Printable and XML); Removable Drive Scanning; Advanced Command Line Support; Ad-Aware Process Watch Module and Network Drive Scanning. Each and all of those features ran superbly well.

Through the Advanced Command Line Support, I scanned and removed spyware without launching the interface window.

Lavasoft offers a free version through various sites. I do recommend the purchase of their Pro version. It is a good software program that provides adequate defense against many spyware and adware programs.
