TiVo launches TiVo Mobile, a free Web site that allows owners of Series2 and Series3 TiVo boxes to schedule recordings remotely through m.tivo.com. The site, which is in beta mode, is available on any mobile phone with a browser. TiVo Mobile provides information on shows and actors and recommendations on new content or what's popular. TiVo users will also recognize the "If you like this... " tool which helps them find similar content. Prior to the release of TiVo Mobile, TiVo made a deal with Verizon Wireless to allow its users to do just that but for $1.99 a month. TiVo Mobile will only require data charges for users.

Microsoft released "Halo Trilogy," a compilation of the complete soundtracks of Microsoft's top-selling "Halo" video game franchise, as a five-disc collectible set. The set includes the original music scores from the first three Halo games as well as a Halo Ward DVD that features four preview tracks and behind-the-scenes footage from the recording session. While the first two discs have the original soundtrack of Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2, Disc 3 has w/four preview tracks from the upcoming soundtrack presented in 5.1. It also includes a behind-the-scenes look at the recording sessions set to the Halo Wars main theme music and the "Five Long Years" opening cinematic of the Halo Wars campaign. Disc 4 and 5 have the original Soundtrack of Halo 3. Halo Trilogy - The Complete Original Soundtrack will be available via retail outlets. The Samsung Q1 is one of the most visually attractive MP3 players on the market with a sleek, slim and curved body that measures 98 x 50 x 11mm and weighs 61g. It comes in three colors: black, white or silver with a 320 x 240 pixel, 2.4-inch screen. Navigation and volume are controlled via a light-edged diamond-shaped touch pad below the screen. The touch pad does not provide any type of physical feedback but does provide adequate control. The audio sound and the video casting are impressive. However, the Q1 designers placed too much emphasis on its appearance and aesthetics and not enough on technical functionality.
